How Long Will I Go To Counselling For?
That’s different for everyone too. Each time you come to counselling, you stay for an hour. Sometimes you will spend the whole hour with the counsellor and sometimes your parents might spend some of the time with the counsellor too. Some people come to counselling a few times and other people come lots of times. Some people really like coming to counselling as it’s a place where they can talk about themselves without having to worry.

What’s The Room Like?
When you come to counselling, we usually go to a room with lots of different things in it. Even teenagers like the ‘kids room’ with lots of toys, games and stuff to help you talk about what is happening for you. Sometimes you and the counsellor sit on the floor, other times you might sit at a small table and other times you might sit on beanbags. Sometimes young people would prefer a room just to talk and those rooms have comfy seats and sofas to relax in and to just talk about things without the distraction of the ‘kids room’.
